Q/ What can the service offer me?

A/ We can offer counselling with a trained and qualified counsellor. We can also offer advocacy support which may involve contacting agencies on your behalf, or signposting you to a specialised advocacy service, helping you access records, going with you to meetings, support to attend court or completion of Criminal Injuries Compensation claims. We can also offer befriending with a trained befriending volunteer. There are also opportunities through our groupwork programmes to share experiences with other survivors.

Q/ How can I become more involved?

A/ We will be developing a service user group where survivors can come along to discuss the service, and contribute to consultation exercises which help us ensure our services remain client centred. Training that the group requests will be provided and the group will appoint a representatives to represent service users on Open Secret’s Board of Directors. If you would be interested in being more involved, please contact Traci Robertson, Depute CEO. Tel: 01324 679055 or Email This email address is being protected from spambots.
